Statement

The only way to describe it would be as a process of release: to give the emotion a tangible space for me
to see it, assimilate it and - if necessary - get over it. The process is never the same. It ranges from the
academic and stream-of-consciousness to a plain struggle between the medium and the hand. The result
is not always pleasant and sometimes the aesthetics have to be sacrificed to honor the emotional value of
the work. If the objective is fulfilled, if the finished work is able to move me - regardless of its beauty - then the process ends and can begin anew.
